Match report Another win, what a performance!

Our second away match of the season and another great team effort. Everyone contributed.

Portsmouth lost the toss and Locks Heath elected to field first.

We posted a credible 306 for the loss of just 4 wickets.

James B top scored with a punchy 30 off the bat. 6 lovely boundaries stroked to the off side, great skill and entertainment for the watching Portsmouth and Locks Heath parents.

Oscar T assisted our score along with 18 runs and 3 super boundaries.

Keen running between the stumps from Heath, as always, looking for runs to keep our score ticking. Great support to James tonight. As a pair, you rotated the strike the most - 10 times in 4 overs !

It was our turn to field and following a team talk where we discussed who was going to be wiki, bowl first and the final over, we knew what we had to do.

Very few wide balls from our Captain Louis, Monty, George D, George H and an maiden over to open our innings from Jack H, who we welcomed into our team for his first appearance with the U9C's.

Huw spent the first few overs as wicket keeper, managing to keep the ball from slipping past him with his quick thinking and fancy footwork, before taking an injury, allowing todays XIIth Man and Super Sub George D to take to the field.
