Match report The U13’s took part in the second game of the indoor season against Sarisbury who had also won their first game. We lost the toss and were put into bat, setting a reasonable target of 99 – 2 with a safe if not flashy progress. The team went on to protect the modest total with every player taking part and limiting the opposition to 91-4 before running out of overs.
All of the players deserve a mention, but on this occasion I think it is more appropriate to thank the team as a whole as we won with all of our players recognising their own set of skills and attitudes (e.g. making the choice that would definitely lead to being run out, however sacrificed personal averages in hoping this would lead to a team win– excellent!)– that being said a Special mention for our two newly blooded players; Matthew Walton and Jack Collett, they both took to the game and looked like old campaigners.
Roll on the next match which no doubt will be equally challenging.
