Match report The Manager worked hard to get this game on today. His opposite number at Sarisbury wasn't making the right noises around 1.30pm, so a hastily rearranged lunch break resulted in a drive to The Hollow to meet the Sarisbury groundsman and discuss the state of the outfield and whether we could play later that day.....We discussed what could be done and the groundsman did it. Good Job Andy, thank you very much.

Remember when Girl Power was all the rage in the 1990's? The Spice Girls and Union Jack Dresses?
Well, I don't know about running The World but Our Girls ran this match tonight for Portsmouth.
"Hit me with your Best Shot" also springs to mind - Pat Benatar in the decade before Girl Power came to the UK. Call me an Old Rocker, but I do love those old tunes, particularly when they strike a chord with our performances.
Shots and Runs for Bethan, top scoring on 22, two Wickets, a Catch from Ruby Mae and a Run Out from Darcy were the highlights for The U11A's tonight.
I can't quite put my finger on it, but Ruby-Mae always seems to get a Wicket just when you least expect it - This week she got 2 in the same over.
And then in the final knockings of the Sarisbury innings she took a Catch at deep square leg.
Bethan's solid batting steadied the ship after an unfortunate early run out, so close to call. Front foot drives and 4 x fours - a trademark of her game and great to watch.
Charlie L gained some respect for The Boys by striking a cool 19 including two x 4's for his tally. James with 12 runs helping his team as best he could.
Ruby-May running out of partners at the end as she did her best to bat out our innings.
We managed to survive 14 overs tonight.
