Match report A really fun game, played as an intra-squad match with teams and pairs matched: Sharks vs Jets, and welcoming new players Matthew and Theo. The Jets' notable contributions with the bat from Dexter, Jasper and James N, and wickets for the Sharks from Xavier, Gerge, Jake, Libby and Sam restricted the Jets to 120-7 - aggressive running at the end from James and Jude including an all-run 4 byes, and 2 wickets in 2 balls from Sam.

In reply 2 early wickets to Grayson and wickets to Jasper, Louis and Alex as Xavier and Jake set a platform for a final 4 overs with Sam and JV of the highest-intensity cricket I've seen in the U9s, with the Jets (James N and Jude) and the Sharks (Sam and JV) against each other: great pressure on the fielders from the batsmen, a diving caught and bowled, away swinging yorkers and a catch from Grayson at cover led to 24-7 off them, and a Jets win by 46 runs.

I hope all the kids enjoyed themselves, I'll be looking forward to the replay in the final league match of the season.
