Match report Portsmouth cruised to another comfortable victory over Fair Oak this week at St Helens, leaving them 4 from 4 for the season.

A devistating spell of bowling, and SEPCL career vest figures from Sajid Ali of 6-11 from his 10 overs left the Fair Oak batting line up in total dissarey. A combination of accurate medium fast bowling and a slow wicket that offered assistance to Ali throughout left him almost unplayable. Strongly supported by Daisy who could have easily had 3 or 4 wickets but instead had to settle for 1 means the Portsmouth new ball attack appears to be too hot for their Bronze league opposition to handle. Backed up by Kam with 2 wickets who struggled for rythym due to a secret paint problem, and Jamie Scott who claimed 1, the Portsmouth seam attack continues to prove a point to the league that they are a Gold league and still have more to come, the boys also have the facts to back it up:

- 3 different bowlers in 4 games have taken 5 wicket hauls - Daisy, Kam and Sajid.
- 2 bowlers are already into double figure wickets for the season - Daisy and Sajid.
- 5 of Portsmouth 6 bowlers currently average under 10 with the ball.
- Portsmouths bowlers have currently dismissed 40 basmen for just 360 runs, an average of 9 per wicket.
- Only 1 side has made it past double figures against Portsmouth this season when Easton made 116.

In reply Portsmouth completed the victory losing just 2 wickets, Farjan got an aggressive 36 before being caught playing one too many shots, and James Moon was bowled. Sam and Nav finished the job easing past the total both finishing not out.

Portsmouth will dissapointed to again miss out on maximum points striving for perfection, but completing their 4th straight victory keeps then bang on track for what aleady looks like a season where the title appears to be theirs to lose!
