Match report On Monday the U9As took on Waterlooville at an earlier start than is usual. Our Captain, Thomas, won the toss and elected to field first.

The boys proceeded to bowl with pace and accuracy, despite the blustery conditions, while in the field the boys gave 110% in catching, restricting runs and backing up. We did not have it all our own way, far from it, as our opponents batted well in particular Archie and Ray, who gave the boys a difficult time and hit some good boundaries. Pick of the bowlers were Joseph who finished with an impressive 4 wickets and Ethan with a good brace, while Edward bowled our first maiden of the season.

After a quick turn around, the boys went into bat. Again there were some great individual performances, including Henry (20), Ethan (20) and William (13). Again it was pleasing to see some good quick running between the wickets and calling with just one run across the innings.

Man of the Match this game went to Joseph, but everyone including our sub contributed.

A big thank you to Waterlooville who appreciated our difficulties in moving the match to another day, due to other games and so agreed to play at an earlier time, also to Sarah for providing match teas.
