Portsmouth Cricket Club - 2024 Lost by 11 runs

Match report Another close game but sadly we couldn’t quite get over the line and came up 12 runs short for our first 13A victory. That said credit must go to Burridge opener Pippa who scored 38 and retired not out and was also their wicket Keeper and took two great catches. Captain Ed Holmes produced some great bowling and only went for 11 runs off of his 4 overs. There were a couple of wickets for Isaac and Archie V too.

In reply chasing 142 for victory we unfortunately lost both openers in the first three overs due to some fine bowling from Burridge, then Captain Ed batted superbly for his 37 before retiring not out. Great batting too from Dan Wilson scoring 22 and Alfie Cole with an excellent 31. The rain also showed up but thankfully we were able to finish the match and enjoy a lovely post match tea courtesy of Tarnia - many thanks! Great support for the lads today, so many thanks to all who came along and to all those who helped today.
