Match report Noah was our Captain today, won the toss and elected to bowl first, opening the bowling for us. A catch and a run out left the more senior B's team on 19-2 after the first 4 overs. The final two overs sought to contain a run away batting team with a stumping in James' over and two bowled from Sam in his two overs, left a hefty target of 103.

Skipper Noah took us into bat and opened in his pairing with Oscar. With a lovely boundary from Noah and some super backing up from Oscar, the C's had a solid start with 12 runs under their belt for no loss of wickets. Alex and Emil were up next and faced some tricky bowling from Freya and Maddy, managing to dot away some threatening bowling in their four overs without losing a wicket. The wild kids Sam and James were up for the C's to finish and as usual did not fail to entertain. James hit 5 boundaries and Sam one, with plenty of cheeky running in between to take the side to 93-1. Unfortunately even with the 5 wickets taken in the field, it wasn't quite enough to see us through against a more experienced and senior girls team.

Man of the match went to James for his efforts with the bat and a run total of 22. Thanks to both Ed and Adam for umpiring and coaching and the fantastic encouragement from parents watching kids cricket this evening. It was a super occasion and showcased what colts cricket is all about.
