Match report Glorious sunshine and an idyllic setting on Petersfield Heath. Portsmouth, put in by Petersfield, started strongly with Sam finding the boundary regularly to top score with 31. Portsmouth struggled thereafter, but with highlights in boundaries from Finn and Sam - our running between the wickets needs to get a bit sharper! In reply, Petersfield made their extra years show and punished short bowling, but notable performances in the field from Thomas and Finn, and with the ball from the two Sams, made this game a close one against much more experienced opposition.

20 runs the difference, the post-match talk on Dave Brailsford marginal gains in communication between batsmen and staying switched on in the field! A fun game & hope all the kids enjoyed it,
