Dear Members and Friends of Portsmouth Cricket Club
Last weekend Portsmouth CC played the first outdoor game of the season welcoming Merrow Cricket Club for an early season friendly Despite miserable weather leading up to the match Rick and friends worked hard to prepare the outfield and astro pitch and on the day the sun made a welcome appearance. After 30 overs per side Portsmouth were victorious. Let's hope this sets the trend for the rest of the season.
Fixtures this week
This weekend the warm up matches continue and we have also start the first competition of the season starting on Sunday.
Saturday 21st April
1st XI travel to Havant 1pm Start
2ndXI welcomes Waterlooville to St Helen's 1pm Start
St Helen's Clubhouse Open
Sunday 22nd April
Portsmouth XI travel to Bashley (Rydal) 1pm in cup competition
Training
In addition to the usual age group training the Women's W10 training starts on Monday the 23rd. If you are interested in playing all welcome!
This Friday is Thank Cricket its Friday Social, and this week will the start of the BBQ!
