Match report I didn’t think that after the World Cup Match last weekend I would see another game with such drama! What a fantastic way to finish the season.

We lost the toss and took to the field. Alfie captained brilliantly and got us off to a great start taking a wicket in the first over. He then took a second wicket and this was followed by wickets from Archie, Thomas and Isaac and two for Charles playing up in his first U13b game. Great energy in the field and some fantastic fielding all round, with Archie V taking a good catch too!

In reply we lost Alfie early but Isaac and James batted brilliantly and both retired not out on 35. We then lost our second wicket on 74 and continued to lose wickets, setting up a great finale. Young George, again playing up for his first U13b played a great innings, he was now last man standing and the scores were level. He played some good defensive strokes against some excellent quick bowling, before unleashing a boundary to win us the match with two overs to spare. At this point the lads ran on to congratulate him and celebrate another great victory!
