Portsmouth Cricket Club - 2024

Dear Members and Friends

Firstly, we hope you enjoyed the 2022 cricket season. With a new team competing in the Midweek SLAM and our newly formed Ladies Cricket Ball Team gaining promotion to HCL South Division 2, the blisteringly hot weather and next to no games or training cancelled, it was certainly one to remember.

In setting our rates for next year, the new PCC committee have been careful to consider factors weighing on the club and it's finances, with a careful eye on the challenges we will face in the next 12months as well as the continued investment plans we expect to deliver in 2023 and beyond.

To this end, the 2023 membership review has been detailed and wide ranging, seeking views and feedback from across most sections of the club. The review took into account no increases in rates since 2016.

The main changes and club strategy are set out below:-

• Encourage all players to take up a Monthly Standing Order Membership Profile
  
• Introduce new options for players to include / exclude Winter Nets / Winter Indoor Games
• Retain the Senior Occasional Player Profile
• Adjustment of Match Fees to enhance the value of the Monthly Standing Order pay option
  
• Support and encourage the development of Ladies and Girls Cricket 
• Membership Discounts for families with 2 children
