Match report A gallant effort by Portsmouth. A very close low scoring game due to both sides producing an excellent bowling display. Whilst the game was marred by a couple of incidents, there was no bad sportsmanship by our lads and they were gracious in defeat. We were put into bat and posted 86 all out. Batting highlights were Charlie retiring again unbeaten on 31. We knew that we had a good bowling unit so had every chance of winning still at the break. Locks Heath went into bat and then Lewis got their star batsman caught by Charlie with the first ball of the innings! This was game on. Wickets steadily fell, two for Lewis and Charlie and one each for Jake and George. A great run out by Lewis with a direct hit and we were in for a tense final few overs. However, in the end Locks Heath held on and won.
