The 4s tasted victory for the first time in a 66-run win at Padnell Road.

Rich Higginson (54) struck nine fours in a classy 82 ball knock, while spinners Zia Sahak, Ed Thompson and Rick Marston ripped through the home side whose last 7 wickets fell for just 16 runs.

Higgjnson and Smith's opening stand of 47 came in overcast conditions on a helpful pitch, but the visitors subsided to 79 for 6 ten overs later with their own version of 'collapso' cricket, Patel (4 for 21) clean bowling the middle order with his inswing.

Ed Walker (47 in 43 balls) counter-attacked, supported by Sam.Thompson and then Sahak whose 22-ball 27 included five fours as the innings closed on 171.

The home side were seemingly well set at 87 for 3 through Higgins-Drysdale (21) and Clements (28), aided by 34 extras.

Sahak (1 for 12) applied the brakes before the evergreen Marston and the youthful Thompson (3 wickets each) applied the coup de grace, the match ending with Giffin's spectacular catch running back from slip.
