Match report Yes a beautiful setting at Hursley saw our U15 Girls take on the might that is Hursley.
They are littered with County girls and District players.
Darcey lost the toss and Hursley decided to bat.
Bowl straight, bowl full, minimise extras, field well and maintain enthusiasm at all times was the game plan.

Well Hursley sent in their two county batters who both went on to score 76 each.

We bowled beautifully, extras only 13, well kept Viola. Edges here edges there but alas we could only get one wicket, a contender for catch of the season, take a bow Emma Freathy off Darcey’s bowling.
Hursley end on 192 - 1 off 20 overs.

So we knew it was a tall order, but the message was, stay in, block the straight ball and enjoy your batting, chill when you are out there and learn Learn……. That’s exactly what the girls did, despite losing Darcey in the 2nd over, and then Maya shortly after.
Well batted Evie 12, Freya high scores with 14, Emily not out 11, Viola with a bright cameo and then Emma hitting her first ever big 4.

We ended 64-5 and got through to 20 overs.

Great effort girl’s in the heat against a well drilled team.
